This policy explains what information ABDL Circle collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible and to keep it safe.

What we collect

Email address — provided at registration and used for sign-in, verification, and account-related notifications.
Password — your password is hashed using bcrypt before being stored. It is never held in plain text and cannot be read or recovered by staff.
Birthdate — used to confirm you are 18 or older. Your age may be shown publicly; staff can see the full date.
Uploaded media — avatars, photos, and videos you choose to upload, along with any profile information you provide.
IP and access logs — your IP address and basic request details are logged for security, abuse prevention, and moderation.

Age verification

We may request age verification materials if your age is disputed during a moderation review. Any materials submitted are reviewed by a staff member solely to confirm you meet the 18+ requirement. They are deleted immediately after the review is complete and are never stored on our systems, shared with third parties, or used for any other purpose.

How we use it

We use this information to operate the site: to authenticate you, display your profile and content to the audiences you choose, enforce our rules, prevent abuse, and keep the community safe. We do not use it for any unrelated purpose.

Emails

We may send you emails in the following circumstances:

Account and status updates — when your account is approved, banned, unbanned, or when a significant status change occurs.
Security — password reset requests and email address verification links.
Important announcements — significant changes to site policies or major operational notices.

We do not send marketing or promotional emails. We do not share your email address with third parties for advertising purposes.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Data is shared only where strictly necessary to run the site (for example, our hosting and email providers) or where required by law.

Data retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active. IP address logs are kept for moderation and security purposes. Age verification materials, if submitted, are deleted immediately following the review that prompted them. When you delete your account, your profile, uploaded media, and associated records are removed from our systems. Certain logs tied to moderation actions (such as ban records and IP logs) may be retained beyond account deletion where required for security or legal reasons.

Requesting deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deleting your account removes your profile, uploaded media, and associated records from our systems.
